Well Rose had a doctors appointment today. And she was such a big girl! They did a check up and gave her a shot...she didn't cry or anything. They had her wear this nifty paper gown during the physical.

But then it turned into a whirlwind...she wants her to see a dermatologists for her birthmark and black streak of hair on her head...okay....that is do-able. Then I hear words like possible lead poisoning..and...possible leukemia....and I need to take her to a lab to get some blood work done. What? I thought at the worst she might have mono or something. Anyways I think it is a case of -ok let's check just to be safe rather than sorry...but still...how is a mom suppose to feel? ...I'm practically numb.
When we left the doctor I needed to take a few minutes to breathe before going over to LabCorp. So we stop by the grocery store to walk (without being in 100 degree temps) and take a moment to breathe. Rose was such a cutie at the store...here she is -Stopping to smell the flowers. She is too cute! My love for her is immeasurable!

Okay then we go to get her blood drawn...the nurse moves the needle around after it is inserted (you know how much that HURTS) She had to be held down but Rose didn't cry. She said that it really hurt. And afterwards asked why they did that. She was a little upset (grumpy) for about 10 minutes, but then perked back up to her regular joyful self.
She was being a sweetheart on the drive home......Then ..oh no! the traffic comes to a stop and I hit the car in front of me!

What a day..... My body is so sore and I just want to go to bed. I feel like a walking zombie, but the day is not over and there is still stuff to do (dishes, cleaning-up, lesson planning, etc). I think I will let everything wait though, so I can go play CandyLand and Memory with a sweet little girl and watch a movie she picked out and get a few extra hugs tonight....
PS - Thanks Chad for cooking supper tonight and picking up my slack.
