You have got to be kidding

We get home this afternoon and what do think we found? Yep, ANOTHER water leak. It was coming down our walls in the livingroom and kitchen. It soaked our couch and some school supplies I store under the couch (yes I am so crammed for space here I have to use under my couch for storage) It ran in one of our cabinets and our dishes. Yuck. Chad (and Rose) have been taking care of cleaning up and he took apart our couch and washed all the pillow and cushion covers. (thank you honey) How many water malfunctions have we gone through here??? I can't imagine what grossness is in our walls and under our carpet.
I can't wait to move....Is it September yet?

I get a yard...I get a ya-rd!

We are moving in 2 weeks to a house with a yard! A huge yard!! I couldn't be happier. We are going to be renting this 3 bedroom house in the Dunwoody area of Atlanta. It is a FABULOUS neighborhood. Did I mention we are getting a yard?
We are so cramped in this apartment. And although we will be losing our beloved pool we will be gaining so much more....like space and a nice neighborhood and a yard.
Before I move I plan on doing a video walk through of the apartment and then after our move a video walk through of our house to really see the change. I think this well be such a good change for our family. Obviously I am thrilled that Rose and I will be able to go outside everyday, many times a day in the yard. But I think having the extra space will mean less cluttered living which will be much more pleasant. Also we will have space to invite friends over for dinner. Our table is crammed in a galley style kitchen and it is a squeeze for the the 3 of us, let alone guests.
Yippee!

The squirrel

Rose stealthily crept up on this squirrel that she had fun watching at Stone Mtn the other day.

This video is her and daddy crosssing the small waterfall. (These pics were 'stuck' on camera until today)

Another great day at Stone Mountain

Believe it or not we actually explored parts of the park we haven't been to before. (I know, you'd think by now we would know every nook and cranny of this park.) We really love this place. This was Chad's first time on the 'Ride the Ducks'. And we found a playground that Rose really loved. You can hear her saying "This is Fun. I love this. This is Fun." on the video. We also waded in a stream and explored a mill that we had never seen before. And of course, as usual we had to ride the sky tram up the mountain and spend time up there as well. It was a great day. And so super nice to have daddy with us on a weekday. After his grueling past few weeks with comps and little sleep....he is taking a few days to spend with us. (He has been working so hard getting home at 9 or 10 at night and even some nights staying at the office all night to get those comp papers done.) But now he is taking a few days off and needless to say we are so happy when we are all together.

Hair do

Since her self scalping, earlier this year...I haven't been able to do much with her hair. Just brush it to the side and (sometimes) put in a bow.
Even though it is still pretty short on one side I was able to put "climbers" in her hair. ...Aren't I so fancy for knowing the term to this hair do. It kind of looks like smocking or lattice to me. It isn't my favorite hair do but I thought it would be cute for a day of outside play while we went to Stone Mountain. (and you can plainly see the piggies are much shorter on one side)
She has never been one to want to sit and let me fix her hair. But thanks to the 'play' with hair the other day (that she initiated) I thought this might be a good time to alter our get-ready routine. Little did I know that all it took to get her excited was to bring out a clear box with neatly organized and very colorful bands in it. She thought they were so cool. She liked holding them and handing me the bands as needed. They are now no longer neatly organized or in that little clear box, as she wanted to dump them in her barrette box. And she is still happy with them b/c that is were she wanted them. :0)
I enjoyed fixing her hair and am looking forward to seeing what I can actually do with her short and fine hair.

Silly Pic.....

Last night Rose wanted to see if we could fit ALL of her hair barrettes in our hair (after she wanted to see what momma looked like with piggy tails)
