How fun is this!

We are so blessed. I get to teach a sweet little girl -- sewing. It is so fun! She comes over on Monday afternoons and we sew.

Here she is sewing on the machine....

Here are her and Rose's completed outfits. Ansley made a skirt, shirt, and bag for her bear and Rose made a night gown for her doll.

And here they are with their mustaches they taped on. Aren't they so fun!Thank you Ansley for making sewing days so much FUN!!! We love it!

Beginning in Jerusalem

The late great preacher C.H. Spurgeon nailed an extremely important point over a 125 years ago when commenting on above passage:

"Beginning at Jerusalem, must surely mean begin at home. You know the old proverb, 'The cobbler's (shoemaker's) wife goes barefoot'...I knew a man who used to go out with preachers every night in the week, and try to preach himself, poor soul that he was; but his children were so neglected that they were the most wicked children in the street, and they grew up in all manner of vice. The father was prancing about and looking after other people, and did not care for his own family. Now, if you are going to serve Christ to the very ends of the earth, take care that you begin at home...Dear parents, need I urge you to look to your own children?" ~ Spurgeon... Beautiful

Not well

I am not feeling 100% today. I have a lot to do today but it just isn't getting done.
I also have several blog posts swimming in my head, but those aren't going to get done either. Not today anyways. So instead, I am going to direct you to Raising Olives blog. I like this POST.

I really enjoy her blog.

I just want to add even though I am feeling sick I am still feeling overwhelming blessed. I am so thankful for God's grace and for the blessing of my family. I am so blessed. Thank you Lord for your mercy and bounty.
