Handwriting

Rose asked me to take a picture of her writing sheet this morning. Yes, she is in her PJs...gotta love the comfy-ness of homeschool :)
I recently made her this notebook, so she could use it with dry erase markers and practice as much as she wanted without using so much paper. So far it's been a big hit.In the above photo she used an orange marker and took out the paper worksheet to better showcase her work. (my little ham....but I am glad she tries hard and is happy with her accomplishments:)

Giving herself smiley faces for a page well done. (switched to a red marker, now)

a close up of her page

Good job, sweetie!

Roses loves learning her Bible verses. She gets so excited when when I add new verses to her chart.

Christmas presents

Friends and family in North Dakota and other far off places,
Please note that there is no need to give us presents. But if you do......I have a favor to ask. I am sure you are aware of the suitcase cost when flying and Northwest seems to be one of the costliest. We use to travel with lots and lots of suitcases, well i guess b/c we could and it was free. But those care free days are gone. This year we are cutting (way) back on our luggage, because we are cheap, oh um, I mean because we are frugal ;) Anyways, I would like to make to a few suggestions to those in ND or those who plan on mailing us Christmas cheer to ND......how about GIFT CERTIFICATES. I know, I know, some people don't like the idea of GCs...they're too impersonal , yadda yadda yadda. Well, we like 'em! And they would even fit in our carry ons!!! It just doesn't make any sense for us to spend $50 or $100 in luggage fees just to bring home the lovely items given to us. Please, note this is just a suggestion, as I know some people may already have their shopping done....and that is fine. I am sure we will have some room. I will post GC ideas later but here is couple if you are just itchin' to get that Christmas shopping done. For me or Rose Hands of A Child has some neat stuff I would love for homeschool. CurrClick does as well. As for Chad, I will have to get back to ya...as I haven't asked him yet.

article

Friends-
We must be praying about this election-I know this is something that
you already know . . . but here is an article James Dobson wrote that
I thought I would pass along to encourage you to pray!

Interview

Did you see my pastor on CNN?

The least of these.....

I first learned of Obama's stand on this issue a couple months ago. (Yes I know I should have known about since 2002).
Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, to protect babies that survived late term abortions.

Do you not cry when you think of these sweet little innocent babies?

Anyone who knows me knows that my heart cries out for children. One should not say....I will be a Christian and obey God's Word in certain parts of life but when it comes to my job or my politics....well that's a different story. (I am referring to when I was a teacher in public schools and told by other "christian teachers" that we can't share The
Truth in our classrooms because you could get fired.....well boo-hoo... God's law and God's love comes before mans rules. And now when so many people separate their Christian "life" from their voting "issues")

I started to type more. but I think I might have to pull out a plank, before I talk more about this sty. ;)

Anyways, never mind my babble and watch this video.
