Meet Honey the Bunny.......
Rose's very 1st (non-imaginary) pet.
The house up the street was having a yard sale today and of course I had to stop. They wanted to know if we were willing to provide a loving home for a little bunny......for free. The bunny house, supplies, and bunny they gave to us. Rose and I had to convince daddy, but he was won over pretty easily:)
I think I was just as excited as Rose was!
I had bunnies when I was real little. Now, Rose has one too!
And we have an 11 year old and 9 year old bunny sitter right up the street for when we travel.

Oh, and at this marvelous yard sale, that I am so happy we went to, I also met 2 more moms that are in DASCH (the home school group) that live right here, down the street, that I haven't met yet. How cool is that!

Sweet

Rose has recently settled into a more pleasant bedtime routine. And when I went in to check on her the other night....I thought 'how sweet'. Not only did she look so peaceful and beautiful to me, sleeping there in her bed. But then I noticed she had fallen asleep with 'Sammie' in her arms. Sammie is my teddy bear from when I was a little girl. And Sammie's outfit is a dress of mine that I had my baby pictures taken in. then I notice that she is sleeping on my sheets. Those are my Raggedy Ann and Andy sheets. Kristie and I had bunk beds and we each had a set of these sheets. Then a few years later, Kristie moved to a full bed and Jen took her spot in the bunk beds...then they were my and Jen's sheets. ....Now they are Rose's sheets. Aww how sweet!

Park(s)

We had another fun Friday park play date. We all took a picnic lunch to enjoy. Rose had lots of girls to play with. Another mom and I lingered at the park longer than the rest. We enjoyed seeing our girls playing with each other. .....so we just let them keep on playing.
I am so happy I found the DASH group. It is just wonderful to be around other christian families who are homeschooling and trying to raise their children similarly. It is just wonderful.

Friday evening after supper, Chad and I took Rose to the park in our neighborhood and walked the trail around the lake. It was so peaceful. And, of course, Rose had fun exploring nature.

Homeschool Co-op

Here is a snip-it of the opening worship at our homeschool co-op. (Co-op is meets every other Thursday) We have worship together. We are all learning the chapter of Psalm 103. 1st period Rose has sign language while I help out in the nursery. Then we all have snack. Then Rose has Tell and Show 2nd period, I help in that class. Then free play on the playground for a little while before heading home.
