My Little Pony

Tonight we had tickets to go see My Little Pony LIVE.

Here is Rose in her My Little Pony Dress I made her.Daddy & Rose, as we enjoyed some Mellow Mushroom before the show.

She fell asleep on the way to the show.

We woke her up when it was time for the show.

But she woke up with a headache and requested to leave.....so we left at intermission.

oh, well.

Honors Day

Today (Thursday) was Honors day at GSU. Chad received an Excellence in Teaching Award.

Our Day at Stone Mountain

This week was MONSTER TRUCK week at Stone Mountain. So I knew we had to take Andrew. He talks about and plays with Monster Trucks EVERYday! They were all excited to go. The first thing they find to play with is a dirt pile....which was actuacly good b/c they found something to do while we waited in a long line to get tickets. The 4D monster truck movie was enjoyed by Rose (who never really wants to play w/trucks...she would rather play with princesses) And Andrew started crying at the end saying it was too loud and he doesn't like it anymore. They got to watch part of a Veggie tales movie and do some crafts. Rose RODE on a monster truck and loved it! Andrew wouldn't go near it ...he sat in the stroller and buried his face during Rose's ride....go figure? :) Rose also did some rock climbing...poor Andrew opted out of that one, too. They had a lot of fun and I think it was a great day!

Thank you Lilly

...for my present in the mail!! I was thrilled! Me and Mommy played... then when daddy came home I ran and got my game to show him.....and to play it with daddy, too. This is a fun game! Thanks! (and thanks for the coloring pages for me and Andrew) You are my first blog friend.....I can't wait to meet you, hopefully next month.

(fyi - Angela and Lilly's mom do know each other in 'real' life, but Lilly and Rose have never met. Rose 'knows' Lilly through their blog -- isn't that cute.)

Even though we have already had her party, today is her official birthday.4 years ago today.

Sunday Breakfast

Chad and I took our turn at bringing breakfast for our Sunday morning Bible Study Class. There are normally between 50 - 60 people in our class. So we made a big spread....Chad made his mom's recipe for homemade caramel rolls and pancakes with fresh strawberry syrup and cool whip or reg or maple syrup....I made and egg/sausage/potato/veggie medley and an egg/cheese/ham/red pepper medley....plus donuts and juices. We got up early and shared the kitchen cooking. BUT we forgot that this week was spring break week here. So we only had 28 people (about 1/2) in class. Even though we strongly encouraged everyone to eat heartily, we still had some leftovers. Maybe Chad will take some to work Monday morning to share there. ...Anyways, it felt good to that for our wonderful class. Even though I normally do not enjoy cooking, I enjoyed cooking for them.

Book I am reading

I recommend this book. It is very good!

I found this on my bookshelf, unread. I am not even sure where or when I got it? I think maybe back when I was teaching SS in Lexington, Art came and did a mini conference with us?? But I am not sure. I am glad I "found" this....it is so good to read if you have kids!!

Another book I have to recommend again, 'The Excellent Wife' by Martha Peace. I love this book! My mom is currently reading my copy of it.
