Well I went a week without my van...

It wasn't too hard to go without my van. We walked to Kroger, about a mile one way, 2 times this week. It was a nice family walk.
But the garage called and told us that our van is totaled!! So now Allstate has to assess it and decide if it is junked or what....so I will go at least another week without a van.
In other news, our AC seems to have broke this evening......and it is hot in our sauna apartment...hopefully that will get fix tomorrow.

Rose loves the rain

When it rains, Rose gets so excited. She wants to go out to play...
...splash in the puddles...
...and have fun!

And when it is staying around 100 degrees every day...the rain does feel nice.

Rose, showing us her B page.
I love that she loves our school time.

Rose woke up without a fever and ready to play. She seemed okay so we didn't go to the doctor. She has been playing pretty good today. She is not completely 100%, but she is doing well. Here is a picture of her and Tyler playing a game of Memory.

Rose is sick today

My little 'baby' is sick today. She woke up with a 103.2 temp. She has slept most of the day. Her fever went away and we played puzzles and colored for a while, then she started getting too tired to play and wanted to lay back down. Then eventually she fell back asleep. And then her fever came back. Poor sugar.
I have an appointment for her in the morning at 11 AM. But no car to get to it. So we are looking into renting or I may just end up taking a taxi. Her pediatrician is in Alpharetta so it is too far to try and take public transportation.
............Well she has perked up a bit (at 11 PM) Here she is laying in mommy and daddy's bed, being cheered up a bit with dad's company.
What time she was awake today, she has been wanting mommy to hold her...and of course mommy was happy to fill that role.

Doctor Update

Okay...everything is okay!! Thank you Lord!!! Rose did have Mono. She is passed the contagious point. She is just suppose to take it easy for the next four weeks. She can go swimming, but no jumping in. She can swing, but no climbing or monkey bars. She can start her ballet/tap class in two weeks, but no additional activities. She is suppose to drink lots of fluids and sleep and rest as much as she wants.
There was no lead poisoning and her blood cell counts were all great!!

My sweet precious joyous little girl is healthy, she is just recouping from mono!!

A day without a van

Well, they are coming to tow our van in the morning to get it worked on. We are going to try to go without a rental for the week. Chad takes public transportation, so he is ok. So we will see how I do without a car. Today since we couldn't drive to church, Tyler read from the Bible and lead a discussion, Chad lead the prayer, and Angela lead the song. It was very nice. Then this evening all 4 of us walked to a restaurant for supper and then to Kroger. Wow that was a walk!! It felt good to get out and walk. We walked close to 2 miles. (Rose rode in the stroller)
I guess we will not be able to go on our regular Wednesday field trip this week....although I think the pool will be a good replacement.

Rose's first visit to the chiropractor

Rose and I went to see Dr Jody. She is Andrew's mom and our good friend. She had us come in since we were in that wreck on Thursday. Rose did such a good job letting Jody adjust her. It amazes me how well she can work on my back. We will both be going back in next week too.
