Little Pilgrims

Here is Rose and Andrew in their paper pilgrim hats. Aren't they too cute.

On Friday, Chad let Honey the Bunny out on her leash for a bit. We often let her enjoy some leash time, to hop around the yard while we are outside or while I am cooking dinner and can keep a fairly decent eye on her through my kitchen window. But on this particular day we kind of forgot she was out there. And left her totally unattended....the rest of the evening....and then all night. oops. Well Saturday morning she was gone. It appeared she was able to wiggle out of her harness and she was gone. We didn't tell Rose right away for some reason. But I knew she would notice on Monday. Thankfully Monday morning Honey was back! She was behind her house getting a little shelter from the morning rain. Well I guess the big world wasn't as wonderful as Honey thought it would be and she returned to her nice safe home. Ahhh. Needless to say Chad and I were thrilled that THAT conversation was avoided. And we were happy to have our prodigal bunny back home!

Hosting

I had a homeschool co-op planning meeting at my house the other night and this is what I served.

The Switch is my FAVORITE drink. It is carbonated juice. 100% juice. It is great b/c I am addicted to carbonation and don't have to drink soft drinks to get it. btw - the only store that I know that carries it is Super Target.

Philly Cheese Steak Roll. Yummy.

Chocolate mint cookies. A yummy recipe I got from Sara. Rose had fun helping me bake these.

Keepers Club

At Keepers at Home Club Sunday night. I taught the girls some simple sewing. How to thread a needle, sew on a button, and they even made a little doll pillow!!

Well, Rose spent the entire sewing lesson playing with baby Cate and could have cared less about the sewing. But the other two girls seemed to enjoy it. It is just us and one other family doing the club. It started with a few more families but now it's just 2 families. The other family has 7 children so we still have plenty of kids! The guys do a project with boys and the gals do a lesson with the girls. If you want more info you can read about it at Keepers of the Faith.
Rose likes to do sewing stuff here at home when it is me and her one on one and with no baby around. She just LOVES babies.

Goodnight Moon

Our homeschool group went to the Goodnight Moon Play on Tuesday. It was a delight to watch this hour long live theater rendition of this classic children's book.
