On the farm

Rose and I enjoyed two weeks in Kentucky for spring break. We spent most of that time on Grandma and Grandpa's farm. Rose played with her cousins and the animals from morning to night. We missed Chad dearly but he had to stay home and work.

It is always so nice to be at my parents. They are very sweet, loving and fun. And it so BEAUTIFUL there! It is a wonderful place to enjoy Gods creation. Plus my sisters come over often and my nephews and niece. It is great being around everyone. We also were able to visit a couple of my aunts while we were up, which is always nice.
It is a very peaceful place.

Grandpa got two tadpoles and two salamanders out of the pond for Rose. Gma and Gpa even let her keep them in their living room for the remainder of the visit.

Marvelous March

A peek into our marvelous March.......
We were able to take sweet Arianna to a puppet show at the Center of Puppetry Arts. Here she is playing with Rose in the lobby after the show.
At the Chik-fil-a playground
Rose made jewelry with her puzzibits (link together toys)
We so enjoyed our Field Trip to the Nations! We visited missionary booths from around the world. Heard some great Missionary speakers, enjoyed a free Chik-fil-a lunch, then we were entertained with a childrens service.

My college girlfriends came to Atlanta for a weekend. It was so precious seeing them. We were great friends, served on missions together, shared in each others weddings, and some of us were roommates. I had not seen them in over a decade. We all homeschool our kids and have so much in common still. (Christy wrote a nice post about it HERE.)
Rose and daddy had traced Rose and colored it. The life-size portrait has been on our wall for months, so I thought I should photo it before taking it down.

I made one of these myself in K or 1st grade and have a pic of me standing next to it as well.
When spring came, we loved being outside! I am peeling potatoes for supper OUTSIDE.
Rose and daddy playing
A pic of Keepers at Home club.
Playing outside with Elisabeth and Autumn.
They are holding hands and praying before they snack.

And that is a little peek into our March!

Fabulous February

Well here is a quick peek into the rest of our February....

Princess Rose

Rose received these fabulous books in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Anderson! She was so excited!! She Loves them! They are part of her daily life, now.
A day later she received a Valentine Bear in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Irvin! She is loving all the packages in the mail!
Some of our church friends.
We were studying water in science so Rose made a boat for some toys and tested it out in the tub.

Good ole silly fun

Thankfully Rose has a such a good nature daddy! (He really is the greatest guy I know!)

Rose thought it was hilarious to "sneak" and put bows in his hair. She thought he couldn't tell what she was doing while he was working on something.I love her expression in this one.

Sometimes mommy can be pretty silly with her as well.It is fun having a six year old.

I keep telling myself...she is only little once! I better enjoy each age and stage while I can. She changes and seems to grow so rapidly. I really do want savor these years!

I am so thankful to God for allowing me to be a wife to Chad and a mother to Rose.

The past couple of Saturdays we have had nice weather, so we try to spend most of it outdoors.

Rose is still learning to ride her bike.....
We enjoy playing frisbee....
and of course there is yard work to do.
Rose pruning a tree....
Chad and Rose filled 8 yard bags with leaves and pine cones...

Also the past two Saturday nights we have made our way over to the cheap movie theater....that is always a fun treat!
