This will be my last post until around January 8, 2008!! So don't forget to come back next year. I will not be able to post while we are gone. My parents have slow speed internet (b/c they live too far out, can't get it through the phone company and cable doesn't run out that far). Chad's parents don't even have internet. So it will be next year before I can give another update.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
and Happy New Year!!!

Water Update
well, it still hasn't been fully taken care of. Late Friday night they did send someone to extract the water and cut out the wet carpet padding. Although he did not get all of the wet carpet pad....and by Sunday our apartment smelled pretty rank. I tried to get something done (they treated me so badly, I am really missing our former house!!) They told me they wasn't going to pay to have anything done on a Sunday and that they are not going to replace the carpet or do anything about the water that got in the walls. Anyways...Today at 6pm (I was told they would be here at 9:30 am) another guy came and supposedly removed all the wet padding....I am still not sure if he got it all. I have saturated it all with SolUGuard to sanitize it (you gotta love Melaleuca products!) and then Frebreezed it to try and freshen the smell. They said they would come back on Friday and put new padding in. ......Of course by then we will be gone for the MONTH, so who knows if it will be taken care, and who knows what we will end up coming home to in January. I am so stressed right now. I just don't see how I can possibly get everything done by Thursday. My bedroom is all on one half of the room, so everything is unorganized. So that is the yucky icky update.

Crazy Friday
Well, we had a pleasant morning.....I did a ton of Christmas crafts with Rose and Andrew. We had such a good time. I played a cd from their music class and they were singing along. It was just so picturesque.
Then our afternoon was not so wonderful. Water was pouring into our bathroom and master bedroom. Flooded the bathroom, part of the hall, part of the bedroom. Water was coming from the ceiling, the vent in the bathroom , the light fixture in my bedroom closet, the window in my bedroom and the wall and door frame to my bedroom. Talk about a mess! I called maintenance and they came and then figured out it was coming from 2 stories up! The kids were fascinated by this and I tried to keep them in kitchen. Andrew had gotten wet, so I washed him up, changed his clothes (tried to find some non pink clothes of Rose's:) and sanitized them both. I tried to pacify them by letting them watch tv in kitchen, but they was not thrilled by that. Then poor Andrew throws up. So he needed another change of clothes, another washing, and re-sanitized. This all happened so fast. I was running around like a crazy woman :o) Oh well.
I am not sure how to go about cleaning it up. (as they have have not showed up with wet vac yet) And I was already backed up in my laundry....and now I have to wash clothes that got wet in my closet. I guess I shouldn't complain....and concentrate on my blessings...in the whole scheme of things it is no big deal. I would rather be working on my Christmas to do list than this though. (We are leaving for Christmas Holiday a week from yesterday!) --- and will be gone for a month. ...sooo not ready yet. Although I love getting ready for Christmas.
Well, now I think I am just rambling on to avoid going back and working on the "flood" mess, so I guess I better get back into cleaning gear!

Wednesday's Field Trip...
(I know the pictures are blurry --I had to use my cell to take them.)

We went to ride the PINK PIG. It is some sort of Atlanta tradition that is new to me, but big down here. Anyways, it was very pink which I enjoyed...and it was corny yet fun and the kids had a ball. It was a little pig train ride thing.
We also visited Santa. Rose told him that she wanted a reindeer and Andrew said he wanted a monster truck.
We had a pleasant time at church, that helped erase some the stress that today's extraordinarily bad traffic had brought on.
Rose is so loving all the Christmas trees and decorations. It brings me joy watch her enjoy it so.

Thanksgiving
We had a fun Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa's! Wednesday and Thursday we cooked and visited. That night, Rose, Tori and Abby had a slumber party and they did their nails and make up and played with dolls. But when it was time to sleep....Rose came to mommy and daddy's room instead of staying in the girls' room.
On the way home we were able to see friends in Lexington, George and Yoko.
