Fernbank Science Center and Forest

We had been to the Fernbank Museum several times but this was the first time we visited the Fernbank Center. We watched a show at the planetarium then viewed their exhibits and a handful of animals. We had a good time, but last month we were at the Salt Lake Planetarium and Fernbank was weak in comparison. But we still very much enjoyed it and our day together!

Being inside of a kaleidoscope was pretty cool......And, yes I would love to have 6 Rose's!

We had learned about this snake the previous week at 4-H camp, so we were pleased to see it. Rose knew right away that this milk snake was not poisonous. Would you?
(black next to red=safe)
bees!
In the garden
In the forestfinding some cool fungi
This video is during our walk in the forest. we came to a bridge and Rose wanted us to act out 'Billy Goats Guff'. So after we did our impromptu play, I asked her if she would act it out again for the camera. She was happy to, of course. And as you can see, she really gets into character. But no she at least didn't eat the leaf.....she did spit it out.
During our walk back we got caught in a very heavy down pour! We were soaked through and through. But we didn't let that dampen our day....it just added to our fun!
