Kindred Spirits....

There is no way I can fully express my delight. Saturday we got to spend the day with Samantha and her beautiful family (husband -Josh and daughter-Lilly). Samantha and I are of kindred spirits. We are so similar in our beliefs and values and life choices (etc) it is almost unbelievable. It was a joy just to be able to spend time with her.
I was extraordinarily pleased to find out that we are only a 3 hour drive apart. That means 1 1/2 hours apart if we meet half way....I think my heart leaped for joy!
I am not going to try and describe Samantha to you...just know that when I met her, about ten or eleven years ago, she was a young teen, but despite her age ....the love of God shone brightly through her ...she had the maturity of a wise elder ....she says she learned from me, but I learned much from her ....I have always had such high regards and respect towards her ...Yeah...she is THAT extraordinary.

So enjoy the video.

It was a pleasure to get to know Josh...seems Samantha picked a 100% winner (who oddly enough is quite similar to Chad). And you can see for yourself how adorable Lilly is! (I do have to brag and boast about how Lilly instantly "took" to me:) Thanks guys for coming down to Atlanta! It truly meant a lot to me.
It was great spending time with the Davis family and hopefully we will be getting together sometime real soon. (like a weekend in Chattanooga:)

I am so glad the you got to spend time with Samantha and her family, it truly sounds like it meant a lot to you. It is really wonderful how God puts people like that into our paths that can both be a benefit for us and benefit from us.
I am glad you enjoyed yourself.

We had so much fun this weekend catching up and being able to talk face-to-face. Lilly loved playing with and watching Rose. A three hour drive isn't bad at all and 1.5 to Chattanooga is nothing! We can't wait for our next visit. See you in August... if not sooner.

P.S. Love the Skytram pic! Oh and Josh mentioned that we should go ahead and convert the dining room into a playroom. I guess after seeing your place he knew it was inevitable ;-)!!
