North Dakota

Say Hello to Salem Sue! (The world's largest Holstein cow)  She is located in New Salem, ND.

We spent a lovely afternoon at Great Uncle Warren and Aunt Doloris' farm.  She served a tasty lunch and the kids won't soon forget getting TWO pieces of yummy chocolate cake.
(New England, ND)
The girls loved playing with the cats!

Chad standing in front of Great Grandma Anna's house (where Grandma Anderson grew up)

We also got to stop in and visit Great Aunt Orlene and Uncle Ervin for a little bit.
(Hazen, ND)

At Lake Sakakawea... This area was part of Lewis and Clark's exploration trail.

Geographical Center of North America
You can't get any farther from an ocean in North America than standing right here.
(Rugby, ND)

It has been about 15 years since I was in North Dakota in the summertime.  I forgot just how beautiful it is this time of the year.

We made it all the way to Walhalla, ND today.  We are staying tonight and tomorrow night with Grandma and Grandpa Anderson.

Day One of 2015 Drive Across America

Another road trip across America, this time to move from Reno, NV to Kentucky.  We are so excited to be moving ‘home.'
Rose asked me to blog this trip like I did our last trip across America, so after a two year blogging break...here I am :)

Good-bye Reno.  Good-bye Tahoe.  We will ever be thankful for our four years here.  We feel fortunate to have experienced desert life and Lake Tahoe beauty, but most of all we are thankful for our two blessings that we adopted here!

But now I am beyond excited to be moving to the location where my heart already is.....Kentucky!!
We are taking about 10 days to get there so we can visit Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, family, Mall of America, etc.  Our last drive across America we took a southern route, this time it is a northern route.

Day One
Nevada, Idaho

The morning started in our house with lots of guests:  The five of us, Grandma and Grandpa Anderson, Uncle Cody, Auntie Denise, Brittany, Nate, Cassie, and Tabby.  We finished cleaning up the house for the new buyers then headed out.

The first five days of our trip Grandma and Grandpa Anderson will be traveling along with us.

Today was mostly driving.  How do you check your map? ....

We stayed in Idaho Falls, ID for the night.
